About Us

GoldRatesPakistan is a dedicated source for live and indicative gold rates across Pakistan. Our goal is simple: to make checking the current gold rate quick, clear, and reliable — whether you're buying jewellery for a wedding, planning an investment, calculating zakat, or just keeping an eye on the market.

What we do

We publish up-to-date gold prices for all major purities — 24K, 22K, 21K, and 18K — quoted in the units Pakistanis actually use: per tola, per 10 grams, and per gram. Alongside the national rate, we provide dedicated pages for major cities including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta, Faisalabad, Multan, Sialkot, Hyderabad, and Gujranwala, each with local market context.

We also offer a live gold price calculator, a price trend chart, and regularly published articles that explain the gold market in plain language — from how making charges (kapaat) work to why prices move the way they do.

Where our rates come from

The gold rate in Pakistan is announced daily by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the Karachi-based trade body whose benchmark sarafa markets nationwide follow. Our rates are based on this benchmark, reflecting the international gold spot price converted at the prevailing US dollar to Pakistani rupee exchange rate, along with local market conditions.

You can read more about how the national rate is set on our APGJSA explainer page.

Our commitment to accuracy

We update our rates every hour during Pakistan business hours so the figures you see stay current. Gold prices, however, move continuously, and the rates we display are indicative — intended to inform, not to serve as a final transaction price. Actual prices at jewellers include making charges and dealer premiums that vary from shop to shop.

We're transparent about this: we're an independent information service, not a gold dealer, jeweller, or broker. We don't sell gold, recommend sellers, or facilitate transactions. For any purchase or financial decision, we always encourage you to confirm current prices with your local sarafa market or a trusted jeweller. (See our full disclaimer and terms for details.)

Why we built this

Reliable, easy-to-read gold rate information shouldn't be hard to find. Too often, checking the current rate means wading through cluttered pages or outdated numbers. GoldRatesPakistan was created to be a clean, fast, and trustworthy place to check the gold rate in Pakistan — and to understand the market behind the number, not just the figure itself.
