About the Saudi Riyal Rate in Pakistan

Saudi Arabia is home to one of the largest Pakistani communities abroad and is consistently the biggest source of remittances sent home to Pakistan. The riyal rate is also what millions of families check before Umrah and Hajj, when they need to buy riyals for travel.

The Saudi riyal is pegged to the US dollar at 3.75 riyals per dollar. That means the riyal-to-rupee rate moves almost exactly in line with the dollar-to-rupee rate: if the dollar rises against the rupee, the riyal rises by the same percentage.

About This Rate

The riyal rate on this page is the open market buying rate — what a licensed exchange company in Pakistan pays when you sell Saudi Riyals in cash. If you are buying Saudi Riyals, expect a slightly higher selling rate at the counter. Banks use the interbank rate for transfers, which is usually a little lower than the open market rate.

Rates are updated once a day at around 12:05 pm Pakistan time. See all currency rates in Pakistan, or check how the exchange rate feeds into today's gold rate in Pakistan.

FAQ

What is the Saudi Riyal rate in Pakistan today?

The open market Saudi Riyal rate in Pakistan today (5 October 2026) is Rs 74.05 per SAR.

How much is 100 Saudi Riyals in Pakistani rupees?

At today's open market rate, 100 SAR is Rs 7,405.00 and 1,000 SAR is Rs 74,050.00.

How many Saudi Riyals can I get for 10,000 rupees?

At today's open market rate, Rs 10,000 converts to about 135.04 SAR. Exchange companies sell currency at a slightly higher selling rate, so you will receive a little less when buying.

Why does the riyal rate follow the dollar rate?

The Saudi riyal has been pegged to the US dollar at 3.75 since 1986. Because the riyal's value against the dollar never changes, any move in the dollar–rupee rate carries straight through to the riyal–rupee rate.

Where should I buy riyals for Umrah or Hajj?

Licensed exchange companies and bank branches in Pakistan sell Saudi riyals in cash. Compare the selling rate at two or three places before buying, avoid unlicensed dealers, and keep your receipt. Buying some riyals before you travel is usually cheaper than exchanging at airports.
