The 24K gold rate in Pakistan edged up Rs500 to Rs432,500 per tola on Wednesday, while international gold fell to $4,095.30 an ounce after hotter-than-expected US inflation data lifted the dollar.
The gold rate in Pakistan edged up on Wednesday, 14 October 2026, with 24K gold rising Rs500 (0.12%) to Rs432,500 per tola. The rate was Rs432,000 on Tuesday, so the small gain lifts it just off its lowest level in more than a month.
What Moved Gold
International gold had a weak day. US consumer price data for September came in hotter than expected, with annual inflation at 3.7% against forecasts of 3.6%, according to reports from Yahoo Finance and NewsBytes. The figures pushed the US dollar to its strongest level since April 2025 and lifted Treasury yields, making non-yielding gold less attractive to hold. Market commentary noted it was gold's third straight day of losses.
The local rate moved slightly higher despite the fall abroad. The Sarafa association sets its rate during Pakistani trading hours, and much of the international decline came later in the day, after the US data was released.

Over the past 30 trading days, the rate peaked at Rs454,700 on 19 September 2026 and reached its low of Rs432,000 on 13 October 2026, just a day earlier. That leaves the current rate close to the bottom of its recent range.
International Gold Price
Spot gold was at $4,095.30 an ounce, down $67.53 (1.62%) from the previous close of $4,162.83, as the stronger dollar and higher yields weighed on demand.
