Gold in Pakistan edged up Rs1,000 to Rs411,000 per tola for 24K today, a small recovery after last week's steep fall, as international gold bounced back from a one-year low.
The gold rate in Pakistan rose today, with 24K gold climbing Rs1,000 (0.24%) to Rs411,000 per tola, up from Rs410,000 on Saturday. The small gain follows a run of sharp declines over the past few weeks and lifts the rate slightly off its lowest level in more than a month.
What Moved Gold
International gold recovered some ground on Monday after hitting a one-year low in Friday's session. According to Reuters, as reported by Business Recorder, weaker oil prices tempered inflation concerns, while investors assessed comments from Federal Reserve officials for clues on the path of US interest rates. At its meeting on 28 October the Fed held rates in the 3.75%–4.00% range, but two officials voted for a rate rise, which has kept pressure on gold.
Traders also pointed to caution ahead of the US midterm elections on 3 November and the US jobs report due on 6 November, which kept the rebound modest. October was a difficult month for gold, marked by forced selling during a sell-off in technology shares and a hawkish tone from the Fed.

The Week So Far
Despite today's rise, 24K gold remains Rs8,000 lower than a week ago, when it stood at Rs419,000 per tola on 26 October 2026. Over the past 30 trading days the rate has ranged from a high of Rs441,000 on 30 September 2026 to a low of Rs410,000 on 31 October 2026, so today's rate sits close to the bottom of that range.

Spot gold was trading at $3,900.34 per troy ounce, up $19.03 (0.49%) from the previous close of $3,881.31. The gain is a modest recovery after last week's heavy losses.
